Practice Information

Vision care is an important part of your health care. Annual eye exams are important for you and your children. With annual eye exams we can detect vision problems or medical problems early, when treatment can slow down or even prevent deterioration of vision.

We offer a wide variety of services for Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach residents, from general eyecare and annual exams to Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) and rehabilitative eyecare. If you have previously been told that you are not a good candidate for contact lenses, there may be new contact lenses available for you today. Dr. Tirado has extensive experience in therapeutic and difficult contact lens fittings.

We also practice children's vision and preventative optometry in a very personalized and non-rushed manner. Rehabilitative eyecare services include designing specialized contacts for those with high prescriptions or those with diseased eyes, and fitting and filling prescriptions for "low vision" devices to help read, do computer work or enhance distance vision.

About Dr. Tirado

My name is Alejandro Tirado or Allan for short. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. I graduated from Nathan B. Forrest high school in 1982. I then went to the University of South Florida where I received an undergraduate degree and then completed post-graduate education at the University of Houston College of Optometry. I have five years of experience working in surgical and laser eye care centers, and have been practicing in Jacksonville Beach since 1990. I appreciate the opportunity to get to know my patients, and take pride in providing quality, professional eyecare here in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

I live in Atlantic Beach with my wife and two children, and in my spare time I enjoy surfing, racquetball and biking.

Wednesdays 11am - 6pm

Saturdays 9am - 12pm*
